The company began offering property management services in 1998. They opened the prestige acropolis in the year 2000. They were awarded ISO 9001:2000 accreditation in 2001. In addition, they began operating Angsana, their first hospitality enterprise. Forum Mall was the company’s first retail project, which opened in 2004. In 2006, they opened Cessna Business Park, a special economic zone, and Prestige Shantinikethan, an integrated township. 

They also unveiled Prestige Ozone, a new home complex. The company expanded its operations to Cochin, Chennai, and Hyderabad in 2007. Prestige Estates Projects notified the financial institutions on February 9, 2015 that credit agency ICRA had improved the organization’s ultimate rating to [ICRA] A+ (Pronounced as ICRA A Plus) from [ICRA] A- (Pronounced as ICRA A minus) in respect of various Fund and Non-Fund Based Financial Institutions approved to the company. At its meeting on March 24, 2016, the Board of Directors of Prestige Estates Projects gave their in-principle approval to the merger of the company’s wholly owned subsidiaries Downhill Holiday Resorts Private Limited, Foothills Resorts Private Limited, Pennar Hotels and Resorts Private Limited, and Valdel Xtent Outsourcing Solutions Private Limited.  Among plotted development, there is prestige marigold phase 2 which is launching soon in north bangalore.

The Scheme of Merging of Downhill Holiday Resorts Private Limited, Foothills Resorts Private Limited, Pennar Hotels and Resorts Private Limited, and Valdel Xtent Outsourcing Solutions Private Limited with Prestige Estates Projects (PEPL) and their respective shareholders was approved by the Board of Directors of Prestige Estates Projects at its meeting on March 31, 2016. PEPL owns the entire paid-up and issued share capital of each of these transferor corporations. Prestige Estates Projects stated on April 1, 2016 that its unit Prestige Alta Vista Holdings had bought roughly 49 percent of the shares in Prestige Whitefield Investment and Developers Private Limited held by CMIDF Whitfield Mall (Singapore) Pvt. Ltd. for Rs 56.87 crore. Prestige Whitefield Investment and Developers Private Limited is developing commercial space on an approximately 8-acre plot of land. Prestige Estate Projects conducted a reorganisation operation wherein the Prestige brand’s 4 divisions were established as independent investment firms (100 percent owned by listed business Prestige Estates Projects Limited) formed for each sector during the financial year ending 31 March 2017. Prestige Sanctuary is an upcoming ultra-luxury villa project by Prestige group in Whitefield area. Prestige Estates Projects announced on April 1, 2016, that its subsidiary Prestige Alta Vista Investments had purchased for Rs 56.87 crore roughly 49 percent of the shares in Prestige Whitefield Investment and Developers Private Limited held by CMIDF Whitfield Mall (Singapore) Pvt. Ltd. On an estimated 8-acre plot of land, Prestige Whitefield Investment and Developers Private Limited is creating a retail property. During the financial year ending 31, 2017, Prestige Estate Projects completed a restructuring in which the Prestige brand’s four sections became established as autonomous investment entities (100 percent owned by listed company Prestige Estates Projects Limited) for every sector.

Expansion

Prestige Estates Projects intends to build a large-scale affordable and middle-income housing project on this property. The Management Sub Committee of Prestige Estates Projects authorized buying a CapitaLand share in several shopping mall businesses for an estimated Rs 342 crore on January 1, 2018. The Forum Centre City Mall in Mysore was completed and opened on January 9, 2018, with 96 percent lease and utilization, according to Prestige Estates Projects. The mall is located in the center of Mysore City and has an undeveloped land space of 0.32 million sq. ft. Prestige Retail Ventures Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Prestige Estates Projects, owns the mall. Prestige Estates Projects announced on February 7, 2018, that it has formed a strategic agreement with HDFC Capital Consultants Ltd to expand its Medium Residential sector. The funding for this dedicated real estate platform would be Rs 2500 crore, with a mix of equity and loans. 

Prestige’s residential business will be expanded primarily by finding significant land parcels with the ability to create large-scale residential projects in the mid-income sector. Investment advisory services for real estate private equity financing are provided by HDFC Capital Advisors Limited, a completely owned subsidiary of HDFC. Prestige Estates Projects announced on February 26, 2018, that its wholly owned subsidiary Prestige Exora Business Parks Limited (Exora) and Reco Jade Ind Private Limited (Reco), a subsidiary of GIC (Realty) Pte Limited Singapore, had signed a provisional memorandum of understanding in regards to a possible significant minority invested capital by Reco in Exora. Prestige Estates Projects announced on March 8, 2018, that it had entered into a contractual agreement to acquire an 80 percent ownership in Sterling Urban Infraprojects held by investors and affiliates. At Outer Ring Road – Sarjapur Bangalore, Royal Urban Infraprojects has 59 acres of land. 

Prestige Estates Projects plans to create government commercial office space on this land, which has over 6 million square feet of prime real estate space.
